Configuring Your Twilio Account with Your Hive

Configuring Your Twilio Account with Your Hive

To configure your own Twilio account with your Hive, you must have your Twilio account fully set up (cannot be in trial-mode) with an active phone number (must have SMS/MMS capabilities), messaging service, and auto-recharge enabled. If your business/gym is registered in the US, you must also complete all of the required A2P 10DLC regulatory registrations for review/approval.

Once that is done you will need to send a request to success@myfithive.com so we can enabled the "Self Manage for Twilio" setting, after which you'll follow the steps below to connect your Twilio account to your Hive.

  1. From your Hive's admin dashboard, go to Settings >> General Settings >> Configure Texting/Twilio.

  2. Next, click Continue under "Start Account Setup"

  3. Click the "Start Set Up" button.

  4. You will then be prompted to provide your Twilio Account SID, Twilio Auth Token, which can be accessed by logging into your Twilio Console and they'll be displayed under the Account Info section.

  5. After you have added your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token, click Continue and a Message Service field will then populate. Click into the Choose a Service dropdown and select the applicable messaging service, which automatically pulls from your Twilio account.

  6. Two additional fields for Phone Number and Country Code will then populate, which you'll select from their respective dropdowns.

  7. Once you have finished adding the required info, click Save & Continue to complete the setup. If successful, you will see the screen below with your account specifications confirming your setup is complete.

  8. If you'd like to enable two-way texting, which allows users to reply to the text messages sent from your Hive, click Enable. Please note that Twilio charges per text segment for both inbound and outbound messages.

We hope this helps but please feel free to reach out to success@myfithive.com with any additional questions you may have.
