Content Fragments

Content Fragments

This article will show you how to set up Website Content Fragments in your Hive. Before we begin, please note that content fragments are essentially sections of content you can create that can be automatically added as either a header or footer to all of the custom built web pages in your Hive (excludes hard-coded pages such as user account, class schedule, blogs, etc). These are useful for displaying information/content such as banners, contact information, and announcements across your web pages.

  1. To begin, go to Website >> Content Fragments >> Add Fragment.

  1. Similar to creating a web page, the next step is to name the content fragment in the left-hand menu>> then select whether you want this to be set up as a header or footer from the Ref/Special Use dropdown. If the content is set as a header it will be displayed at the top of your web pages; if the content is set as a footer it will be displayed at the bottom of your web pages.

  1. Next, select +Section >> select the content widget you’d like to use>> then edit and set the content as desired.

  1. Once you have finished editing the content, click Save to complete the process. The content fragment will then automatically be added as a header/footer to your web pages accordingly.

  1. To deactivate a content fragment, go back to Website >> Content Fragments >> select the fragment you want to remove>> and select No under Active?. This will allow you to keep the fragment saved but will remove it from your web pages, which you can come back to and edit/reactivate as needed.

We hope this helps, but as always please feel free to reach out to success@myfithive.com with any questions you may have.
