How to Generate Macros for User

This article will show you how to generate macros for your users. Before we begin, please note that there is an additional setting that will allow members to generate their own macros, which is completely optional. If you’d like to enable this setting please reach out to
success@myfithive.com

  1. To begin, go to Nutrition >> Enter Macros >> Create Macros

  1. Next, select the User >> then give it a reference name if desired, but this particular field is optional.

  1. The Membership Restriction settings essentially give you, the admin, the option to override membership restrictions on an individual basis. For example, if a user’s membership initially didn’t have nutrition access but you’d like them to be able to access their macros you would simply uncheck “Members Only.”

  1. Next, we suggest using the internal macro calculator since it makes generating macros a lot easier, which you can do by clicking Use Macro Calculator, then simply fill in the blanks. Please note that the “Calculate” button for the Body Fat percentage field is a shortcut to the US Navy Formula for body fat percentage, which we made available for gyms who don’t have any other means to take this measurement.

  1. Since we use flexible dieting as our standard method, the ratio of carbs to fats is 60/40 respectively, but as you’ll notice this can be scaled per individual user. You’ll also notice that you have the option to enable carb cycling, which is a split of high, moderate, and low carb days. This type of diet plan should only be used if you’re familiar with it.

  1. When you have finished providing the required information select Calculate Macros to view the generated macros for the user. If everything looks correct click Save to complete.

  1. Users can then access their macros through the nutrition sections of their online profile, or through your mobile app

We hope this helps, but please feel free to reach out to success@myfithive.com with any additional questions you may have.
