How to View Text Convos (2-way)

How to View Text Convos (2-way)

This article will show you how to view text conversations in your Hive. Before we begin, please note that you must have text messaging enabled in your Hive for this to be accessible. Text message service/fees can be reviewed in your FitHive service agreement, but you can also reach out to success@myfithive.com for more information.

  1. To begin, go to Communicate >> View Text Convos (2-Way), then you’ll be provided with a list of all text conversations.

  2. To view a specific conversation, simply click it. You will then be able to view all texts that were sent/received from the user.

  3. To send a reply, type it out in the message box at the bottom of the conversation >> then click Send.

As a reminder, text usage fees are based on how many text segments a message has. Text segments have a limit of 160 characters, so if your message has more than that it’ll take multiple segments to send (in most cases, the message itself will be delivered as a single text though). For example, if your message has 200 characters it will have 2 text segments. Additionally, special characters such as emojis typically have a higher a character count, so we strongly suggest keeping an eye on the Estimated Length and Estimated Segments counts to make sure you’re aware of how many characters/segments your text message has.

  4. The Info button at the top of the conversation will provide you with a snapshot of the user’s details.

The View more details button will redirect you to the user’s full profile.

Change associated user gives you the option to change/connect the text conversation to a different user. This can be useful if users update their phone numbers after a text conversation has been initiated. Simply click Change Associated User >> search for and select the desired user >> then click Yes, change it to complete the switch.

You also have the option to send text messages to individual users directly from their profile. To do so:
  1. Go to People (CRM) >> View Everyone >> then search for/select the applicable user profile.

  1. From their profile, click on the text chat icon next to their phone number and you’ll be redirected to their text message conversation/thread. You can then type and send your message as desired.

Lastly, please note that text messaging set up through FitHive currently does not have the option to forward texts to a personal phone number, so text messages can only be viewed through your Hive. However, your admin dashboard is mobile friendly so as long as you’re logged into your Hive on your phone you’ll be able to view/reply to messages from there.

If you’d like to set up text forwarding to a personal phone number, you’ll need to sign up for your own personal Twilio account, which we can then connect to your Hive. Please reach out to success@myfithive.com if you’d like to discuss this option.

We hope this helps but please feel free to reach out to success@myfithive.com with any additional questions you may have.
