Map Content Widget

Map Content Widget

This article will provide details on how to add/edit the Map Content widget on a web page. Before we begin, let’s cover a couple of key terms to help you better understand what they’re in reference to as you navigate your way through this article.
  1. Section(s): the total area, or section, for each widget.

  2. Container(s): blocks that organize and group content together within a section. Think of them like boxes that hold different parts of a webpage, such as text, images, or videos, keeping everything neat and orderly. For example, the Split Content/Image widget has a block designated for text and a block designated for an image/video; these separate blocks are containers, since they contain the content within the section.

To add this widget to a page, click +Add Section >> select Map Content >> then use the settings in the left-hand menu to make your edits, which we’ll cover in more detail below.

MAP CONTENT

What’s Included/Available: split section with content on one side and embedded map of your business on the other,  icons, and background

Common Uses: Contact Us page, homepage, webpage footer, or other pages (such as booking confirmation page) used to provide the location of your business

How to Edit/Settings
  1. Map Embed URL: click the "Help with map embed URL" link underneath this field and follow the steps to share/embed your business' location.

  2. Title 1: the text added here will be displayed at the top of its container; click into the Title field and add your desired text.

  3. Text 1: the text added here will be displayed underneath the Title; click into the Text field and add your desired text.

  4. Icon 1: if you wish to add an icon, click the magnifying glass to make your selection; the icon will be displayed underneath the Title and to the right of the Text.

*You will then repeat steps 1-4 for each content block in the section. By default, this section comes with 3 blocks, but if you wish to remove one simply delete the content in its Title, Text, and Icon fields.

  5. Background Color: to change the background color of the entire section, click into the box and select the desired color; if you’re familiar with color hex codes you can also paste those into the Background Color setting.

  6. Text Color: this controls the color of all text within the section;  to edit, click into the box and select the desired color; if you’re familiar with color hex codes you can also paste those into the Text Color setting.

  7. Once you’ve finished making your edits to the Map Content section, click Set Content >> then Save the page to complete the process.

We hope this helps but please feel free to reach out to success@myfithive.com with any additional questions you may have.
