Open Account Registration

Open Account Registration

This article will go over the Open Account Registration settings from the General Settings section of your Hive. If enabled, this setting will allow the creation or activation of an account so that a person could go from existing lead or no account, to being able to login so they can purchase a class or POS item without ever having to go through manual activation by admin or membership purchase. Before enabling this option, let’s go over what it does in more detail.

  • If enabled, any website visitor would be able to create an active account and login without any administrative approval.

  • They will have the ability to register for classes and utilize any non-member exclusive area of the website.

Please note: a member is someone with an active membership, while an active user is a person who can login to the website. A member must be an active user but an active user (who can login) does not have to have an active membership.

Areas they can access will include but are not limited to:

  • Class Registration

  • Account Area, which includes:

    • Any broadcast announcements made from the admin area

    • Any broadcast birthday announcements configured

    • Addon purchasing ability

    • Ability to put payment method on file

    • Ability to sign waivers

    • Any unrestricted exercise programs

  • Ability to submit user only forms (if configured)

  • Access user only pages (if not restricted by membership)

How to Enable Open Account Registration

  1. From your Hive, go to Settings >> General Settings

  1. Next, scroll down to the User Account Area Settings section and check “Yes” under Enable Open/Unrestricted Account Registration. Make sure to save the change and you’re all set.

  1. Once enabled, users without an active account will have the option to create one from the account login page or class signup page.
