Twilio Registration

Twilio Registration

Twilio/Texting Registration

For FitHive to set up your Hive with texting capabilities, FitHive creates and manages a Twilio sub-account on your behalf. To do so, we must follow the process for Twilio brand registration that is required for A2P 10DLC compliance for all US businesses. Below is a list of the requirements needed to complete registration for verification, as well as the two available pricing options. Please note that all US businesses, as well as Canadian businesses who plan to send texts to users with US phone numbers, must complete this registration.

Requirements

  1. The gym/business must be located in the US.
  2. If the gym/business is registered as an LLC it must have an EIN (for US). If you're a US gym/business that is registered as a Sole Prioprietor without an EIN, you'll need to provide us with your business name, business address, and personal cell phone number for verification.
  3. The information entered in our internal registration system must match the information that was provided on your business’ EIN application letter. Failure to do so can cause the brand registration to be rejected and the gym will need to reapply and pay Twilio’s setup fee again. We strongly suggest that the gym owner has a copy of their business license/EIN application letter on hand to make sure everything matches up exactly how it should.
  4. If a gym’s business type has been registered as healthcare, FitHive cannot set them up with a sub-account for texting due to HIPPA regulations, so they must set up their own Twilio account.

Option 1 - Low Volume Registration (most popular)

  • $5 monthly additional fee (charged regardless of text usage - includes phone number and carrier campaign fee)
  • $15 total one-time upfront registration fee (includes carrier campaign registration and secondary vetting not necessary)
  • $0.025 per message segment (sent or received), billed per usage.
  • Pros: lower monthly fees; Cons: there’s a daily cap on how many texts can be sent each day, which also varies per cell phone carrier, delivery speed is slowed down

Option 2 - Standard Registration

  • $15 monthly additional fee (charged regardless of text usage - includes phone number and carrier campaign fee)
  • $50 total one time upfront registration fee (includes carrier campaign registration and secondary vetting fee by carriers)
  • $0.025 per message segment (sent or received), billed per usage. Cost averaged fee including management costs from FitHive.
  • Pros: higher cap limit on how many texts can be sent each day, faster delivery speeds; Cons: higher setup fee and higher monthly fees.
  • Secondary vetting to assign a Trust Score which can affect deliverability. The criteria for the trust score is currently unknown, however, even the lowest trust score is typically higher than the Low Volume option in both delivery speeds and daily limit caps.
