This article will show you how to set up Max Types in your Hive. As a reminder, maxes refer to a member’s/user’s maximum lift or personal record for a specific exercise. These are a great resource to use to track their progress and increase accountability.
To begin, go to Settings >> scroll down to the Fitness section and select Max Types.
The next page will provide you with a list of all of the current max types. As you’ll notice, your Hive comes with numerous default max types, which are marked with the FitHive logo next to them. To add a new type, simply select Add Type.
From here, provide the name of the max you’d like to add.
Next, select the type of measurement from the Type dropdown. The default measurement types are Weight, Time, and Count/Reps.
The Type Label field gives you the option to specifically label the type of measurement that is used to track the max. For example, if you’re setting up a Max for max calories on an Assault bike, you would set the Type to reps/count and the Type Label to calories.
The “Best max is” setting is to determine how the max will be scored/ranked. For example, a single rep max bench should be set to Highest/Largest since the user will benching their heaviest (largest), whereas a max mile would be set to Lowest/Smallest since the user will be running a mile as quickly (lowest) as possible.
Once you’ve finished setting up the Max type, click Save to complete the process.
You can edit an existing Max Type by clicking on it, then make the change(s) as needed. You also have the option to delete a Max Type by clicking on the delete icon (the trash can) in the right-hand column.
Once you have set up your max types, the next thing you’ll want to familiarize yourself with is how to submit a Max/PR, which you can learn more about HERE.
