POS Settings

POS Settings

This article will show you how to access/manage the POS settings in your Hive.
  1. To begin, log into your Hive and go to Settings >> General Settings >> and scroll down to the POS Settings section.

  2. The available POS settings are:

    1. Tax Rate: add your applicable sales tax here, which will automatically be calculated and added to all POS orders.

    2. All Checkouts Require Employee Pin (only applicable on tablet app)

    3. Enable Guest Checkout: if enabled, will allow POS orders to be processed for guests that don't have an existing profile in your Hive; if disabled, POS orders can only be processed for users with an active profile

    4. Guest Checkouts Require Email (only applicable on tablet app): if enabled, will require the guest user to provide their email address; this is recommended since it will also create a profile for the user in your CRM

    5. Guest Checkouts Require Employee Pin (only applicable on tablet app): if enabled, will require an employee to provide their pin to process a guest purchase on the POS tablet app

    6. Enable Cash: allows cash payments for admin and tablet POS purchases

    7. Cash Checkouts Require Employee Pin (only applicable on tablet app): if enabled, will require an employee to provide their pin to process a cash payment on the POS tablet app; this is in place so that there's a virtual paper trail of all cash transactions processed through the POS tablet app

    8. Enable Custom Sales: a unique/1-off purchase of an item or service that is not set up as a POS item in your Hive;

    9. Custom Sales Require Employee Pin (only applicable on tablet app): if enabled, will require an employee to provide their pin to process all custom sales made through the POS tablet app

  3. Once you've finished updating your POS settings, click Save and they'll automatically go into affect.
