Creating an Appointment Booking Page

Creating an Appointment Booking Page

This article will show you
how to create a booking page for appointments. Please note that appointments are separate from classes and have different functionality, so the directions below are specifically for appointment booking pages.

Additionally, you’ll need to make sure that you have created the appointment type(s) that you’d like to set up a booking page for, which you can learn more about HERE. You'll also need to add appointment availability to your schedule as well.

  1. To begin, go to Website >> Manage Web Pages >> Add Page. You can also select an existing page to add an appointment calendar to, but we’ll start with a new page for this example.

  1. Next, make sure to give the page a name (ex: 6 Week Challenge Booking) >> select +Section>> then select the Appointment Form widget.

  1. Once the Appointment Form has been added, you will use the editing menu on the left of the page to manage its settings. Below is a list of what each setting is for:

  1. Heading: text added here will be displayed as a header at the top of the appointment calendar.

  1. Text: text added here will be displayed directly below the Heading.

  1. Type Restriction: this allows you to select what appointment types you’d like to make available in the booking calendar. There are 3 types of restrictions:

  1. None/Show All: this will display all appointment types that are currently available in your schedule.

  1. User Chooses Prefilter: this will add a filter to allow users to select which appointment type they’d like to view the availability for.

  1. Only Preset Below: this will allow you to select a specific appointment type to be displayed in the appointment calendar. If enabled, only the availability for the selected appointment type will be displayed, which you’ll select from the Type Preset.

  1. Type Preset: if Only Preset Below is selected as the Type Restriction, this is where you’ll select the appointment type you’d like to display in the appointment calendar.

  1. Instructor Restriction: this gives you the option to display appointment availability based on instructor. There are 3 types of instructor restrictions:

  1. None/Show All: this will display the appointment availability for all instructors.

  1. User Chooses Prefilter: this will add a filter to allow users to select which instructor they’d like to view their appointment availability.

  1. Only Preset Below: this will allow you to select a specific instructor to display their availability in the appointment calendar. If enabled, only the availability for the selected instructor will be displayed, which you’ll select from the Instructor Preset.

  1. Instructor Preset: if Only Preset Below is selected as the Instructor Restriction, this is where you’ll select the instructor whose availability you’d like to display in the appointment calendar.

  1. Book Ahead Days: this allows you to set how far in advance users can book their appointments. If left blank, the default book ahead days from your General Settings will be applied.

  1. Once you have finished setting up the Appointment Calendar widget, make sure to Set Content, then Save the page to complete the process.
